Trop de bleu
“Trop de bleu” is a temporary installation created in the Îles-de-la-Madeleine. The project was realized in collaboration with two local artists, Annie Landry and Serge Boudreau. Five blue modules were installed along a bicycle path, facing the horizon.
The modules are made of recycled wood and covered with fiberglass, with the help of artisans specializing in boat coverings. The themes of constriction and horizon were central during the design. The blue modules were carefully cut to evoke the erosion of the cliffs.
The main challenge was to create a contemporary project in a very conservative environment. It gains strength from its simplicity and from the respectful dialogue between the cultural and natural landscape.
