Insulaire
The parcours insulaire is an initiative by the Municipality of the Îles-de-la-Madeleine aimed at highlighting 13 exceptional sites selected for their panoramic, scenic, and historical qualities.
Six modules allow visitors to identify sites where they can listen to the site’s history narrated as a story through their smart devices.
These various modules have been developed and repeated according to the site requirements: signage element / beach entrance / display / interpretation / trash bin / bench / lounge chair…
Visitors and locals can obtain a map to locate the sites. The first of the 13 sites is the “Place des gens de mer,” a public square with a service building, stage, agora, belvedere, and market, situated at the port of Cap-aux-Meules, in the heart of the Îles.
