The architecture of Olivier Bourgeois and Régis Lechasseur explores form and light while offering users a succession of discoveries through the project. Supported by an efficient work methodology and relying on a diverse team, the architectural firm has been making its mark since 2011 in Quebec and the Îles de la Madeleine.

Originally from the Îles de la Madeleine, he obtained his professional master’s degree in architecture in 2006. For his end-of-study project, the Domaine d’artistes in the Îles de la Madeleine, Olivier Bourgeois earned the Scholarship from the College of Presidents of the Order of Architects of Quebec. He also won the Student Medal from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada for this project. With experience acquired in Quebec and abroad, Olivier Bourgeois is a dynamic designer who skillfully succeeds in creating sensitive and distinctive architecture, while taking advantage of the constraints and particularities of the project’s location. His creations are distinguished by a subtle maritime influence. He is occasionally a lecturer and critic at the School of Architecture of Laval University. He is also a founding member of the PLUX.5 collective. His commitment to teaching, dissemination and architectural exploration leads him to constantly renew himself and diversify and enrich his practice.

Originally from Bas-Saint-Laurent, he obtained his professional master’s degree in architecture from Laval University in 2006. During his studies, he distinguished himself for his exemplary projects and work.

Since the office’s inauguration, Isabelle has been an essential collaborator within the team. Her commitment is reflected in her involvement in nearly all projects, showcasing her versatility and engagement at every level of the architectural process. Her expertise extends beyond the plans, adding value to every stage of the project.

Driven by the desire to become familiar with the evolution of the design process from a project’s inception to its construction, Antonin joined the team in the winter of 2021 after earning his professional master’s degree. Within the firm, he primarily acts as a conceptor and project manager. From the scale of the territory, and more specifically its erection site, to the constructed detail, he strives to successfully carry out the conceptual and intrinsic identity of each project.

Senior architect, Emmanuelle stands out for her career focused on the design and completion of comprehensive projects, emphasizing the interrelationship between art, architecture, and landscape. With extensive project management skills, she excels in large-scale competitions and projects, showcasing her expertise and dedication.

With a background in technology, architecture, and research, Philippe begins his career with the firm, bringing an academic journey marked by distinctions and recognitions. Inspired by space, material, and poetry, he stands out for his architectural approach that bridges the imaginary and the real. His sensitivity to interpreting the territory and its landscapes allows him to conceptualize living spaces in harmony with their specific context.

With over twenty years of experience, Valérie has developed a versatile expertise through her involvement in numerous diverse projects. Her extensive background enables her to tackle complex situations while maintaining the integrity of architectural concepts and adhering to current standards and regulations.

Driven by her diverse interests, Justine has developed a broad skill set that allows her to seamlessly combine the roles of administrative assistant and interior designer within the team. Her unique journey has led her to cultivate a distinctive approach to space design, characterized by a deep understanding of needs and a reinterpretation of traditional solutions. Motivated by achieving a balance between creativity and rationality, she aspires to create spaces that resonate with harmony and relevance.

Graduated in architectural technology in 2021, Nicolas has mainly worked in the residential sector. Eager to deepen his technical knowledge on inspiring and large-scale projects, he joins the team in spring 2024. Being meticulous and organized by nature, he understands the importance of rigor and its daily application, and it is through this approach that he supports architects in the realization of various projects.

Having been with the firm since 2015, Maxime is an experienced architect who has been working in the private sector for over fifteen years. With both academic and technical training, he brings a broad perspective to the practice. Demonstrating versatility and adaptability through projects in various fields, his portfolio reflects his ability to push the conventional boundaries of architecture.

Originally from a technical background, Ève-Marie joined the team after completing her first year of undergraduate studies in architecture in the summer of 2018. Passionate about architecture, she remains constantly eager to learn and refine her skills. Her approach successfully combines both a logical and artistic mindset, allowing her to navigate seamlessly between creative conceptualization and execution.

Driven by the desire to design dynamic projects for the benefit of the user, our approach is oriented towards the search for contemporary, realistic and sensitive architecture, which is inspired by striking elements of the landscape. The subtle work of form guides each of our projects. Exploration and the sequence of discoveries throughout the project are essential elements, regardless of the scale. For us, it is important not to reveal everything at first glance and that the architecture offers several levels of reading.
↓The element of surprise is fundamental in understanding a project. We work to optimize the views, to let in light, to protect from prevailing winds, while creating a succession of atmospheres. We use simple and authentic materials; we seek to highlight them and get the maximum effect from them. We have no preconceived ideas of architecture. For us, each project is truly adapted to the client and the site of intervention.
Our design work is defined by certain dualities such as tradition and modernity, audacity and sobriety, demarcation and integration as well as urban and maritime.This principle is found in our respective experiences and our territory of intervention between Quebec and the Magdalen Islands. Our projects are nourished and enriched through exchanges. Our team is diverse and each member brings their own touch to different phases of the process. It is important that these dualities become complementary and that our exchanges of ideas in the workshop generate coherent projects in the landscape.
Whether for the residential, commercial or public sector, we attach great importance to the needs of the client and the site, to the materialization of our projects, and to the smooth running of the entire production process.
