L'Odysée
de l'espace collectif
L’Odyssée de l’espace collectif is a slender mass with bold lines, where the interior, fluid and organic, is sculpted to create a contemporary and innovative form, leveraging the structural strength of high-performance composites.
The artwork commemorates the invaluable contributions of donors to the University Laval’s seventh major campaign. It serves as a source of collective inspiration and aims to ensure lasting impact. Symbolizing pillars that support a mass, it reflects the crucial financial support of donors to the entire academic community. The center of the monolith’s base houses a sealed time capsule containing documents collected from the members of Les Cent-Associés, describing the motivations behind their exceptional philanthropic gesture.
